The four-time Super Bowl champions Green Bay Packers came up with a fun idea.
Fans following the team’s Facebook and Twitter pages were asked to send in their pictures wearing the Packers’merchandise. The best photo every week got the honour of publication and a prize.
With this simple strategy the Greenbay Packers successfully achieved three objectives:
- engaging their social media followers;
- using crowdsourcing to generate content for the team’s social media channels;
- showcasing the team’s merchandise to ultimately generate sales leads for the online store.
