Maltese private security company Blue Border Holdings has entrusted Strategic Communications with yet another project. After having carried out the company rebranding and creation of the corporate website and marketing collaterals two years ago, Strategic Communications has been selected to film a video promoting its Maritime Security Operators (MSO) courses. MSO courses are undertaken by former military personnel wishing to serve on private and commercial ships as armed guards during transits in areas at high risk of attack from pirates.
Strategic Communications put a wealth of experience in the subject on the table, thanks to the involvement of his director Dott. Fabio Giangolini (who is also a military journalist) who personally followed the project from concept origination to conclusion. “The project was kick started with the creation of the storyboard”, says Dott. Fabio Giangolini. “The client agreed with our vision for the video immediately, and we quickly moved from the conceptualization phase to the actual filming.”
The next step was to select Ivision as the firm which would carry out the actual filming, and select the actors. “As part of the video would entail the use or firearms using live ammunition, we decided to select former members of the Armed Forces of Malta and of the Police Special Assignments Group.” Other actors were models from Italy, Malta and Eastern Europe. The video was shot on several locations in Malta and Gozo over a period of a few weeks and with the collaboration of Bayview Hotel and Apartments Malta, Grimaldi Lines, Gun Blast Shooting Range Gozo and Malta Motorways of the Sea Limited.
“Thanks to the expertise of all the parts involved and the support from our sponsors, we managed to deliver a professionally-crafted product which is testament to the capacity of Blue Border Holdings to train and deploy security teams in high risk areas to the benefit of the crews requesting assistance.”
